My husband and I first gained knowledge of the glass blasting method in log home restoration when we met Saleem Khan of Pacific Log Home Restoration at the Vancouver Home show in February of 2016.
Saleem then visited our recreational property and provided us with an honest upfront assessment of the current condition of our log cabin. He paid particular attention to the detailed description of the pros and cons of the bead blasting process ensuring that we had all the necessary information to assist in our decision process on which type of application would best suit our needs. His quote was also competitive in price with other companies and methods of log restoration.
Shortly after sharing our choice to proceed with the services of Saleem’s company with fellow cabin unit owners Saleem received 4 additional requests from neighboring cabin owners for glass blasting services to be conducted in the same time frame as ours.
We admire the professionalism and efficient manner Saleem exhibited to quickly accommodate and coordinate not only the additional workload but an unexpected time restraint forced upon both cabin owners and Saleem’s company at onset of work.
Saleem and his staff met the challenge head on and completed the work on time as described.
We are absolutely thrilled with the results.
Equally gratifying is knowing that our choice to acquire Saleem’s services was a good one.
Thank you Saleem. We can now sit back and enjoy cabin life as intended!
Roche Lake Resort
My wife and I hired Ocean Pacific Log Home Restorations in June/2016 to refinish the exterior of our log home situated on Lake Katepwa in Saskatchewan.
Sal and his crew exceeded our expectations with their skills and workmanship they performed on our log home. The transformation was unbelievable. I have to admit, initially, I was skeptical on whether Sal and his team would be able to restore our cabin to what their team was saying they were capable of doing, Again, our expectations were exceeded, the attention to detail and pride in their workmanship, is second to none. They treat it like their own home.
We’re looking forward now more than ever to having friends and family over.
Thank you Saleem Khan and crew of Ocean Pacific Log Home Restorations.
We are more than satisfied! Stellar Job!

We had Ocean Pacific Log Home Restorations come in to blast and stain 12 cabins for us on Otter Lake Missinipe in the month of May-2016. The cabins were built some 40 years ago. Weathering and years of re applying stain were taking its toll. They were told we needed the work done by opening day May-17th and they delivered all 12 cabins completely blasted and stained right on time.
The resort looks like new thanks to Sal and his crew from Ocean Pacific. The crew were professional both while at work and while joining us for supper in the cafeteria after their long days. We would recommend OPLR to anyone looking to have their place or refinished. They exceeded our expectations.

In 2014/2015 we were pleased to have Ocean Pacific refinish the complete exterior of the Charleston Residence located in Lake Louise Banff National Park. The Charleston is one of the largest known log buildings in the world. The crew was clearly trained and experienced and kept the work site safe and clean. After blasting the old failing stain, Ocean Pacific applied two coats of a Sikkens Cetol 1 078 Natural, and a third and final coat of Sikkens Cetol 23 Plus. They gave my staff and I helpful advice on how to prolong the freshly applied stain for several years before applying a maintenance coat. Ocean Pacific Log Home Refinishing went above and beyond our expectations.

To whom it may concern,
I am pleased to write this letter of reference for Ocean Pacific Media Blasting, with reference to it's bid to work on the Native Sons Hall in Courtenay.
Ocean Pacific and it's principal, Saleem Khan were involved in removing old lead paint and mould from the Salt Building in Vancouver's Olympic Villiage. The Salt Building is an industrial timber structure built in the 1930's which has been rehabilitated under the direction of Acton Ostry Architects, with ourselves as the heritage consultants. Ocean pacific applied a special glass-blasting method which worked excellently; the treatment removed the paint and revealed the historic timbers without abrading the wood. Ocean Pacific was able to adjust the pressure under our direction, in order to provide the finish that was desired.
The work was carried out to our satisfaction and we appreciated the professional way in which Mr. Khan and his firm completed the work.
We have no hesitation to recommend their services for the Native Sons Hall.

Haebler Construction Projects INC introduces Ocean Pacific Blasting to the Salt Building project Architects and the Heritage Consultants mid 2008, after various discussions regarding the desired finish the construction team were more than satisfied with the attention to detail and knowledge of the delicate nature of the Salt Building structure Ocean Pacific Demonstrated.
In September of 2008 Oean Paciific Media Blasting were awarded the scope on restoring the complete open beam ceiling structure on the Vancouver Salt Building located in the heart of the South East False Creek Olympic Village.
Approx 40,000 sq. ft. of heritage wood was restored beyond our expectations. Sal has a real eye for removing only the unwanted coatings revealing the wood's natural beauty. Ocean Pacific's team were willing to work long hours to meet the project's extremely challenging schedule. This included working throughout the 2008/2009 Christmas and New Year period.
I would certainly call on Sal and his team again and have no hesitation in recommending Ocean Pacific Blasting for future projects.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

The Haebler Group,
I wanted to write and thank you for the contribution your firm made towards the successful completion of the Salt Building. As you may have heard this project was recently awarded the "Gold Award" from the Vancouver Regional Construction Association, for a project up to $12 million.
Certainly achieving an award like this, which recognizes innovation, quality, schedule and budget performance, would not have been possible without the cooperation and positive attitude of your site and field staff.
We thank you for this, and look forward to working with you on many more projects in the future, and in the meantime wish you all the best for the Christmas holiday season.
Yours Very Truly,
Roland Haebler, P. ENG, President
The Haebler Group,
We wanted to let you know how delighted we are with our cabin. The blasting removed the old stain and deep weathering beyond our recognition, by far the fastest most economical way to have our cabin refinished. We were impressed with your judgement of how deep to blast the wood. My wife wanted to thank you in particular for your sensitivity to the surrounding plants and gardens.
We not only hired OPLR, we had them stay in our cabin while work was in progress, we had left a key under the mat for Sal and the crew to enter. Thanks for taking the long trip out from Vancouver BC, well worth the money Invested.

Recently we decided to have our log home refinished and chinked. After several estimates and meeting with different companies we decided to have the project done by OPLR. We chose this company because we were impressed with Sal's knowledge about log homes, product information and the environment.
Ocean Pacific were very polite, thorough and professional. The crew went as far as doing a few extra's without increasing the quote. My wife and I are very happy and satisfied, we would recommend OPLR to anyone who's looking to getting the job done right the first time.

In the summer of 2015, T.S. Williams Construction hired Ocean Pacific Log Home Refinishing to blast the old existing stain from a three story multi-unit structure at the prestigious TIGH-NA-MARA luxury ocean front resort located in Parksville, BC.
Sal and his crew were knowledgeable, professional, and on time for completion. Their crew worked cooperatively with several other trades working on a very busy site.
We have recently discussed possible future log re-finishing projects and are looking forward to working with Sal and his crew at OPLR IN 2016.

We wanted to let you know just how delighted we are with our ‘new’ house; the blasting of the old cedar siding has transformed the place beyond recognition and given the place a new lease of life. Now we have oiled the exterior it looks fantastic, blasting is by far the most environmentally friendly, quickest and economic way to deal with our old stained walls.
We were impressed by your skill and judgment with how deep to blast old timbers and the care you put in to getting the very best out of our old siding.
I want to thank you in particular for your sensitivity to the surrounding plants and gardens and your help with the clean-up, despite the noise disturbance on the day, it really was a quick and easy way to achieve an otherwise nasty job. So thanks for wonderful service, a fantastic job and a great deal…the best money we’ve ever spent!

Recently we decided to have the outside of our log home restored. After several estimates and meeting with different companies we decided to have the work done by Sal of Ocean Pacific Media Blasting. We chose this company because we were impressed with Sal's knowledge about log homes, product information and care of the environment.
Now that the job has been completed we were not disappointed. Ocean Pacific's crew were very thorough, polite and professional and went above and beyond there duty, they even did a few extra's and did not increase the written quote, that made us very pleased it's nice to see companies like this still exist. My husband and I are very happy customers and would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Ocean Pacific Media Blasting.

It is my pleasure to be writing this letter on behalf of ocean pacific media blasting.
During the summer of 2009 I had the task put upon my department to refinish the world's largest hockey stick, Sal and his crew took the bull by the horns and did a great job to bring the wood back to its original colour. I would highly recommend Sal's services to do future work for the Cowichan Valley Regional District as his work and professional advice now speaks for itself. Please do not hesitate to call if I can be of any further assistance.
